This is an exercise in catharsis, story telling, research, networking and fellowship around black history and food for anyone interested.

Black Culinary History Turns 5 this year and I am even more inspired and encouraged to be a member of our culinary community than the day I started. This site started out as an exercise in catharsis and has grown into a beautiful exchange of story telling, research, networking, and fellowship centered in black history and food for anyone interested.

Our community is international and our collective story is one firmly planted in the universal truth that OUR HERITAGE IS WHAT GROUNDS US and will fortify our future. There is so much more to come so THANK YOU for stopping by the site and please continue to join the conversation. Please reach out and definitely spread the word about the site!!
